Fluorescence signals which are symmetrically present in the phalanges of both hands suggest an imaging pattern associated with osteoarthritis. Signal enhancement in the finger tips shows discontinuity to the nails. In the majority of cases, the contrast enhancement is short-lived and only present in the early phase.
